Girls’ Night Out Under the Big Top was surely a night to remember! All hands were on deck to make this year’s event one of the most successful ever. From early on in the planning process there was a special buzz about the event this year. The co-chairs Lorna and Tanya with help from Simone made some minor tweaks and additions to an already successful concept and designed a sold out event with amazing energy for guests and club members. There was not even a ticket to be sold at the door!
Girls’ Night Out was held once again at Pacifico, a dance bar, in downtown Halifax. When the doors opened at seven o’clock almost five hundred women arrived to the venue to walk through the circus tent entrance and enjoy a night out with their friends Under the Big Top. Inside the venue there were ten vendor stations for guests’ shopping pleasure, four liquor vendors with local product ranging from Still Fired Distilleries moonshine to delicious blueberry beer from Gahan House and décor to set the feel of the space! The ladies were sure to stop by the Glitter Lounge to be pampered by the ladies from Uptown Spa and then headed to the fabulous silent auction area for a chance to bid on over one hundred prizes. The excitement did not end there. The signature Martini of the night was “The Masquerade” which you could purchase for a chance to win a stunning silver bracelet from LC Diamonds! We cannot forget about the balloon pops, which sold out in thirty minutes! From start to finish there was something for everyone at this event.
The stage entertainment for the night ranged from mind blowing circus acts from Atlantic Cirque that included stilt walking and fire eating to a very intense women’s demonstration from Sisu Women’s Self Defence! Our presenting sponsor BMO Financial Group also spent time on stage speaking of why they generously support the work of the club.
Planning is already in the early stages for next year to ensure that the momentum of this amazing fundraising event continues!
