2017 Gala of Hope

CPC Regina Centre  – Our 30th Annual Gala of Hope for Camp Circle of Friends.   This summer camp is for kids fighting cancer.   And we have been there every step of the way, just letting the kids be kids for awhile.   This fully accessible camp houses 75-80 campers plus the medical staff to insure a safe environment for the kids.  We have a complete medical facility along with the Doctors/nurses/nutritionists /oncologists and camp staff to look after their every need.   Some of the kids who have attended camp as a camper now come back to volunteer their time so others may enjoy the laughs and meet new and old friends.  We have been very fortunate to partner with the Co-op Refinery Complex for the past three years and were thrilled that they signed on for five more years.  There financial backing has allowed us to dream big.

Last year they presented a young woman ( a camper and cancer survivor) with a scholarship cheque of $5000.00 so she may continue her education.  As part of their continuing support they presented another $5000.00 scholarship to a young man so that he could continue his education, and they  will offer the same scholarship for the next five years.  We are still in the process of finalizing the event ,we expect to raise over $200,000.00.  This year we had a local Financial Advisor  Company donate $ 12,000.00 for the Family Sponsorship program which helps families struggling to make ends meet while their child is undergoing treament.
