A successful Pitch n’ Putt for Kids

From Calgary Bow River at McCall Lake Par Three Golf Course, Calgary, AB on 24/09/2016

On September 24th 2016 members of CPC Calgary Bow River and volunteers from around the community gathered to host the 2nd Annual Pitch n’ Putt for Kids, in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary.

Held at the McCall Lake Par Three Golf course, which was generously donated for the day by the City of the Calgary, the Pitch n’ Putt for Kids attracted over 60 golfers who spent an hour a half in teams of four, pitching and putting for a great cause. Food was provided, and prizes were awarded for lowest score, closest to the pin, and a speed putting challenge. A Hole-In-One prize of a trip to beautiful Canmore, including accommodations for two nights and spending money was not won this year, although several golfers came close.

Golfers raised over $8000 through fundraising and prize holes at the event, and sponsors, including Cisco, Concorde Group, Tech Data, All Weather Shelters (Craig Sims), Ron Lloyd, Wolfgang Juchem, Nosehill dental (Dr. Art Piercy), Vikki Perkins and 3esi-Enersight, donated much more to bring the total dollars raised to nearly $20,000

Thank you to all who participated to help make this a very successful event. And a special thanks to our volunteers and to both our cash and in-kind sponsors, without whom this event would not have been possible!
