 INTERNATIONAL SUMMER GAMES

CPC Sponsored Athletes
The Charitable Foundation Governors approved the sponsorship of four Special Olympic athletes (one from each region) to attend the 2011 Athens International Summer Games.

CPC Saskatoon Downtown jumped on board committing to sponsor an additional Saskatchewan Special Olympic athlete; they further put out the challenge to all other clubs in the country to sponsor an athlete at the cost of $5,000 each. CPC Calgary Downtown was quick to respond to the challenge as was CPC Halifax, CPC Halifax-Cornwallis, Regina Centre and Saskatoon Meewasin by sponsoring an athlete too.

SOC is ecstatic with the support from the Canadian Progress Club and the Foundation.
