Regina Wascana:  Wasn't That a Dinner!

Submitted by Janey Davies
CPC Regina Wascana

It certainly was!

Regina Wascana ladies and two great guys from Calgary North with a host of other volunteers served up Thanksgiving meals to over 550 men, women and children at the Soul's Harbour Rescue Mission on Saturday, October 6th.

(Shown at right:  Joy Ganne, Brad, Karen Graham, Ivy Scobie, Brittany Scobie, Justin,Janey Davies, Tracey Bakkelii, Debra Kruk, Debra Needham, Kimberly Sentes.)

This wonderful meal, provided by the owners of Melrose Place North, was enjoyed by all.  Prior to being served, the crowd was entertained by Matt Rapley, Canadian Idol finalist.

We were all very pleased to have Justin Arnott and Brad Marche from Calgary North drive down for a weekend of fun and a day of doing what Progressians do best - "Aid and assist those in need".  A very special thank you goes out to Justin and Brad.
