Dear Fellow Progressians:

Here we are at the end of yet another Progress year. And what a year it has been. I’m still reeling from our outstanding luncheon and the milestone we achieved. I am leaving the Foundation on a very high note.

With convention just a few months away and reports being presented at the luncheon and AGM, I will be brief.

The board had a very productive meeting and brainstorming session in Toronto in early May. We are well on the road towards plans for our second CPCF fund, committees in place for the national convention in St. John’s and excited about several new board members that will be starting in September 2006. The board members worked hard on the weekend and have numerous action items that must be completed for our convention meetings so I thank them all in advance for the time they will be spending over the summer getting this work accomplished.

I am very much looking forward to going back to St. John’s for convention. I remember well the kitchen parties, pub hopping and general terrific hospitality presented to us by St. John’s. I hope you are all going to be able to attend convention this year. This is one you will not want to miss.

I will be saying a fond farewell to the CPCF board this September. It has been an exciting 9 years. I have had the opportunity to meet and become friends with some of the most amazing people ever and every time I hear the song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life”, from one of my favorite movies, I will think of you all.

I look forward to seeing you all in St. John’s in September.

Yours for Progress,
Janey Davies
