Stampede City is extremely pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement to provide $250,000 to the Alberta Children’s Hospital A.C.E.T.S. (Augmentative Communication and Educational Technology Services) Program. This donation will provide the majority of funding required to operate and expand this Program. A.C.E.T.S. provides support to Children with severe difficulties speaking or writing due to physical or developmental disability. The program provides a variety of services including training and specialized computer equipment to enable those children otherwise unable to communicate through speech or sign language. Stampede City has been supporting the program on a year by year basis since 2003 but until now has been unable to make a long term commitment. Funding will be provided over a 10 year period by Stampede City’s Just 4 Kidz Foundation. Just 4 Kidz was founded in 2002 and
has since grown to over $500,000.00. The goal of the Foundation is to
provide funding that allows the recipient charities to plan and grow
their programs over the long term and not have their focus split by
fundraising. |
