Special Delivery from Regina Assiniboine

On behalf of the Regina Assiniboine Club, Marci and Judy delivered a much-needed new microwave to our friends at Creativity & Culture.  A portion of the funds, provided to our Club from Mac’s Convenience Stores Golf Tournament last year, were used to purchase the microwave.

Leila, the Executive Director of the Core Community Association and Program Director, was thrilled with the special donation.  It came at the most opportune time…they were just beginning renovations to their kitchen and wondered how they were going to afford the many appliances needed for their cooking programs.  Leila noted the new microwave was definitely a great asset for them.

We were happily surprised when the kids even gave us a big cheer when we unveiled the microwave…you just never know what they are thinking or how they will respond…what a great feeling to realize that they appreciated the microwave too.

Our Club volunteers for 2 hours each Tuesday; teaching, preparing, and serving healthy snacks to “our” children each week.  There are approximately 250-300 children who attend Creativity & Culture over the 9 month period starting in September and running until May.
