Regina Wascana: Huge Accomplishment

Canadian Progress Club Regina Wascana has met and exceeded their financial commitment to The Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for construction and development of a 10 bed Hospice unit at the William Booth Special Care Facility.  We had hoped to donate $150,000 to this project over five years but, through the huge success our fundraiser – Festival of Trees – we have been able to fulfill our commitment in only three years.  With the excess money raised, we are purchasing equipment that the unit requires to better serve their patients.

Our commitment to The Regina Wascana Grace Hospice has been hands on as well as financially.  Members, friends, and families have knit or crocheted afghans to coordinate with each of the tartans that identify the rooms with names of ten Canadian provinces. Members volunteer for at the weekly teas held for patients and their families.
