By Gary Nakamura First off I would like to apologize for the delay in getting the Progression out. There have been technical difficulties over the past few months and we hope that we have sorted them out and can carry forward from here. Sharon Ward has set a very high bar for all to follow, but we will endeavour to do our best. Our cover story is from Calgary Bow River about keeping your club strong. Many of their thoughts and methods can be applied to any club and its members. Progress and each club is only as strong as its members. Calgary Bow River must be doing something right as they were the winners of the National President’s Award and member Grant Blakely was named Progressian of the Year. Congratulations to Bow River. Thanks to all of the submissions from clubs across the country. It is great to see how involved the clubs are in their communities raising monies and volunteering their time for charity. Unfortunately, there is not a convention report from Saskatoon. It has either been misplaced or lost in the nether regions of the internet. We would ask that another report be submitted for inclusion into the next issue. Speaking of the next issue, submissions can be sent to me, Gary Nakamura at peripheralgroup@shaw.ca. I know there are a number of articles out there and we will attempt to get them published in due course. I would like to thank all of the clubs who have submitted and if there are any errors or omissions, please accept my apologizes up front. On a final note, I would like to take this time to wish all the members of Progress a belated but Happy and Prosperous New Year. I hope all of your endeavours are a success in 2006. Yours for Progress,
