Great Year, Central Region!

On June 11th, Central Region recognized the following members and clubs for their achievements from this past year.

Congratulations to our 25 year members in Central Region:  Judy Hawtin and Shirlea MacKenzie (Collingwood Area Women), Margaret French (York Region Women), Ken Robertson (Brampton), and Gary Kisil (Brampton).  Your dedication to Progress has helped your clubs and Progress to remain a strong force in your communities.  Congratulations to the Collingwood Area Women and York Region Women clubs on their 25th anniversaries as well, and many more!!!!

Congratulations to the following 10 year members:  Chris May, Wayne James, John Goddard, Luke Feetham and Bob Dunlop (all Durham South), and to Kathy French and Terry Slade (both York Region Women).

Congratulations to the following individual award winners:  Sharon Milton (Durham Region Women), the Ernst Shand Award, Richard Holloway (Brampton), Outstanding New Member of the Year, and John Holman (Brampton), the George Christie Award. 

Also, congratulations to the Brampton Club and Club President Larry Fenske, for wining the Min Nishino Community Award, the Central Region Fellowship Award, and, Club of the Year, Central Region.

We look forward to the 2005-2006 year as a growth year.  Central Region welcomes the following new board members:  Margaret French (York Region Women) as our new treasurer, Tony Maisano (York Central) as the new Zone Governor for Ontario North, and Rick Phillips (Brampton) as the New Zone Governor Ontario South.  I look forward to working with each of you, as well as the continued and dedicated support from Renate Thompson (Brampton), our Regional Secretary, this coming year.  Special thanks to Roy Urbach for his continued help as Zone Governor these past three years.  Thanks Roy!
