CPC Halifax-Cornwallis and CPC Pictou County
keep children and families warm in Truro, NS

Members of CPC Halifax-Cornwallis and their chartered club CPC Pictou County decided to make sure the Truro community was keeping warm.

Needed mitts, socks and winter clothing were given to Major Bishop for the Truro Salvation Army Citadel for children and families in need.  Altogether 10 bags of mitts and socks were collected.

Halifax-Cornwallis chartered the Pictou County Club in November 2001.  Meeting halfway between Halifax and New Glasgow at Truro, they dined at the Glengarry Hotel on January 24, 2005.  The two groups played a Progress trivia contest, drank wine and enjoyed a delicious dinner.  Wine, food, and laughter flowed as they exchanged Progress stories that warmed their hearts.
