Once again our club assisted the 2nd Bramalea Scouting group with their annual distribution of Brampton Guardian Newspaper Santa Claus boxes to local under privileged children.

These boxes contain a toy; sweater, hat and mitts, book and candy treat for children ranging from infants to 16.  This program is part of the Toronto Star Newspaper yearly project that dates back to the Toronto Downtown Canadian Progress Club first fundraiser in 1922.  In Brampton this effort is now into its 3rd year.

The picture featuring Brampton club members and friends in front of the stacks of over 1300 boxes unloaded from the truck represented efforts only from the eastern portion of Brampton.

We will be hosting a Mardi Gras Euchre Night on February 18 at the Hansa Haus.  For more information contact Virginia Tamblyn or Renate Thompson.  Bring your favorite mask or dress in your best Mardi Gras costume.
