Regina Wascana:  Teddies for Tots

Members of CPC Regina Wascana (shown right) enjoy a time out from dressing 50 teddies that were purchased and dressed in bright yellow “Relay for Life” t-shirts.  The skillful hands of our newest member and Great Plains Outstanding New Member Mieke Gibson and her sister Ingrid Rudd made the t-shirts for the bears.  The shirts, of course, also carried the Progress logo on the sleeve.

These great teddies were given to children survivors at the 2004 Relay for Life in support of cancer research held in Regina on June 4th.

Regina Wascana members gathered for an evening of fun to dress the teddies and celebrate the end of another very successful year of Progress.  Charlotte Hnatiuk, Lorraine Scott, Zelda Luchenski, Janice Siekawitch, Ingrid Ruud, Mieke Gibson, Carol Tremblay, Marilyn Weinmaster, Sandy Tufts, and Janey Davies gathered in the home of Darlene Brunskill to enjoy a wonderful dinner and of course the usual Progress “sociables”.
