Lynne McGeough On Saturday, April 30, 2004 the Saskatoon Meewasin Club hosted a party on behalf of the Candlelighters, an organization for children with cancer and their families. This tradition began five years ago. Our twenty nine invited guests attended a fun filled afternoon of glow bowling. Caroline Melsted, a member of our club created a very kid friendly lunch which was enjoyed by all. At the end of the day all the young participants went home with a prize. All in all the day was a great success. I bowled with three year old McKenzie, her brother Matthew, and their parents Cally and Lynn. Fortunately for me in the ninth frame, my score finally squeaked by McKenzie’s! This was my first opportunity as a new CPC member to participate in a charitable event. I found this experience very rewarding and look forward to working with the members of the club on their numerous hands on activities.
