Greater Moncton:  "Turning Points"

Moncton Progress members
attend the grand opening of a center helping teen mothers and their children

What could be more worthwhile than a project that not only helps teen mothers but also provides early education for their young children?  The “Turning Points” MacNaughton Youth Parenting Center officially opened its doors April 28th, offering a host of services to both young mothers and their little ones.  This project has been ongoing for a few years now and has been the primary charity focus for the Greater Moncton Progress Club.  The men of our club take great pride in working towards such a worthwhile cause.  Every year a portion of the money raised goes towards the “Turning Points” center to fulfill our annual commitment to this project.  (Shown at top:  Moncton Progress Club receives a thank you for their contributions.)

On hand for the grand opening were a group of proud Progressians headed up by our team leader in this project Terry Young (shown right getting a pat on the back for personal efforts).  Terry subsequently received a plaque in appreciation of his personal hard work and commitment to the project.  The club also received a thank you for their efforts.

This was a proud moment for the organizers and a gratifying occasion for the members of Greater Moncton Progress.
