Greater Moncton:  Helping out a Local School

On Monday evening, March 22nd, the Moncton Progress Club received a message that Frank L. Bowser Elementary School was in need of a new television for their special needs therapy room.  This TV would be used to help calm their special needs student and to facilitate learning.  Routine is very important to autistic children.

Through Sounds Fantastic and the Moncton Progress Club, in less than an hour we had the commitment for a new 20" Panasonic television for the school.  The television was delivered to the school on Friday, March 26th.  On Wednesday we met with Jordan (the special needs student) and presented a plaque to the school.  He was very happy to have his new TV.

Sometimes a small gesture goes a long way.  This is what being a Progress Club member is all about ... helping people.

Our local motto says "Through the eyes of a child".

Pictured left are sponsors Gordon Robinson (President-Moncton Progress Club), Stephen Gee (Progress Club Member & AMJ Campbell Van Lines Consultant), Paul McLaughlin (Sales Manager of Sounds Fantastic) and students from the school, Craig Gee and Jordan Buckton.
