Greater Moncton:  "Savoie" Faire

Scott Savoie receives special award for work with “Mobile One”
At any given Moncton Progress event it is not unlikely to see a number of members doing what they do best ... giving their all and asking for nothing in return.  The big heart that often acts as the driving force for these events belongs to none other than Scott Savoie.  The word “No” is not in his vocabulary even when his own life is in super busy mode.

Once a month you can be guaranteed to see this big man, ladle in hand, stirring up a hearty pot of generosity.  Putting out one thousand bowls of soup in a night won’t solve the problem of world hunger, but is sure helps out locally.  Heading up this committee he allows Progress members to bring a sense of community into their lives.  The soup goes out on “Mobile One”, Moncton’s soup bus, six nights a week.

On March 20th at Mobile One’s Annual General Meeting in front of 250 attendees the “Greater Moncton Progress Club” received a special award for their contributions to the regular functioning of this great project.  Attending the event and receiving the award for the club were members Gord Robinson and Jim Grant.

As a gesture of the club's special appreciation and heartfelt gratitude, this award was passed on with great honor to our Chef on staff, Scott Savoie.  As always he accepted the award with a humble thank you and his normal touch of class.  Scott is our “Savoie Faire”.
