Member Services Update

By Glenn Montgomery
National Director of Member Services

National Convention Update
Calling all Progressians:  Edmonton 2004 National Convention is fast approaching.  In last month’s article I cautioned you not to delay your registration much longer.  We have a unique hotel property that will have 100% occupancy so reserve your room today.  Both the hotel and the Convention Committee have a full refund policy in place.  Visit the web page for further details.

National Awards
All Club Presidents and Past Presidents:  it is time to prepare your submissions for the National Awards Program.  Many of the clubs within various Regions get a head start with their “Regional Award Programs”.  Currently I am reviewing the National Award requirements to streamline the process, so by the middle of May visit the web page for further information.

A reminder to all clubs, if you are having problems with submission, drop me a line and the committee will endeavour to help you structure your award submission to maximize its impact.  I also want to remind you that the awards are scored for the most part on quality of your submission not on quantity, so do not let your submissions run on.

National Supply House
Finally, on your National Supply house, all the pins, certificates and plaques have been returned to the National Office and Carmel.  Please place all you orders through her with a VISA number (card type, numbers, expiration date) and we will forward the types you require plus shipping costs.  DO NOT wait to the last minute to order your Past President’s pins and plaques as well as Name Badges for your President Elect.  Look for a redesigned membership pin next month.

I am still looking for regional supply house opportunities in the Eastern Region, and Great Plains.

Help your newly elected board through the transition process, enjoy time with your family and get those awards together.

Yours for Progress,
Glenn A Montgomery

P.S.
Ask yourself, can I help Progress today?  Answer yes, run for National office.  This position (director Member Services) is open for a two year term.  Contact Past National President CJ MacMullin for further details.  In the meantime, share Progress with someone—bring a guest to your next meeting.
