Honours for Ron Adams

Ron Adams, a longtime member of the Edmonton Downtown Club, was honored at a joint meeting held on 28, January.  Ron received the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (CPSM) in recognition of his service as a verifier with the Kosovo Verification Service Mission between February 18, 1999 and April 23, 1999.  The CPSM is awarded to Canadians deployed outside of Canada for an aggregate minimum of 30 days in support of a United Nations or International peacekeeping mission.  It honors the member’s service and recognizes a valuable contribution to world peace.  (Shown right:  Ron Adams sporting his medal.)

At the function testimonials from Raoul Allalouf and Captain Jack Doveno, Directors of the Coordination Center Podujevo were read.  They praised the professional and skillful way that Ron deported himself in Kosovo.

Members of his family joined Ron at the reception.  We wish to congratulate Ron on the receipt of the medal and thank him for his contribution to peace keeping.
