The club mailed out 72 letters to businesses and personal contacts with invitations to a new member’s wine and cheese party held on 2, February 2004.  The response to our canvass was not stellar as we had only one prospective member turned up.  It is possible that the time of the year we initiated the drive and very cold weather at the time contributed to the poor response.  We plan to repeat the exercise again next year at a different time together with some other innovations.

The club will hold its annual charity Auction at Franklin Inn on 6, March.  Their next big fund raiser will be the Dawn to Dusk Golf Tournament on 16 July.
