Greater Moncton

Moncton Progress Club takes on ten new members at 2004 Inauguration
Held at the Moncton Hotel on Friday February 20th the Greater Moncton Progress Club attended yet another Inauguration Night.  Decked out in suits and tuxes the boys engaged in a special evening to welcome ten new members into the Progress Family.  The ten members seen below have already proven themselves to be worthy members and have gone above and beyond in their generosity in raising money for the various Progress events.  After the mingling and the meal the members with their sponsors were sworn into a group of comrades that were already impressed with every one of the new inductees. Congratulations gentlemen, and welcome aboard.

District 2 Casino and Dance Night
Wow what an event.  On the night of January 31st, the men of the Greater Moncton Progress Club were challenged to set up a fun filled evening for the staff of the District 2 School board.  With Roulette wheels spinning, full blackjack tables a tropical theme and a number of other casino games the night flew by in a blur of success.

This fundraiser would benefit the “MacNaughton Youth Parenting Centre”.  This centre was set in place to focus mainly on struggling young single women with children.  Many of these individuals have hopes of seeking higher education to move to the next stage in their lives.  This establishment helps them do just that.

What better way to raise money than to provide a night like this?  When the men of Progress finished running the casino the attendees were entertained by a live band, a dance, and over six thousand dollars worth the prizes.  They were simply flabbergasted. Feedback from both District 2 staff and from the Progress members promises a repeat event next year.  We can’t wait!
