It is hard to believe that we are in March and in the next two months we will be wrapping up our various Progress Club activities for another year, and looking forward to another great convention, this time in beautiful Edmonton.

Along with this comes our need at National for some committed Progressians to "step up to the plate" to offer your talents and services for the total organization.  Start thinking today about what contribution you, or someone in your Club, Zone, or Region, can make to our National organization.

ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE NATIONAL OFFICE BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS AUGUST 3, 2004.

The following positions' terms of office will end at the National Convention in Edmonton this year with all new officers being inducted at the Annual General Meeting on October 2, 2004.

National President-Elect:
To qualify, the nominee must have been a member in good standing of any member club for at least the five (5) preceding years and have been any two of the following:
       • A National Director
       • Zone Governor
       • President of a member club
       • Chair of the Canadian Progress Charitable Foundation

National Vice-President, Western Region
National Vice-President, Eastern Region
National Director, Member Services
National Director, Education:
To qualify for any of the 4 National Board positions listed above, the nominee must have been a member in good standing for at least two (2) years and have been one (1) of the following:
      • Active Member of Regional Board.
      • President of a Canadian Progress Club.

In addition to the above National Board positions, 3 Zone Governor positions are also up for nomination this year as follows:
Zone Governor, Alberta North
Zone Governor, Ontario North East
Zone Governor, Newfoundland

THE NATIONAL VICE-PRESIDENTS & ZONE GOVERNORS SHOULD BE NOMINATED, AND ELECTED, BY MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING IN THEIR OWN RESPECTIVE REGIONS PRIOR TO THE AGM ON OCTOBER 2, 2004 AND THEIR NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 60 DAYS PRIOR TO THE ANNOUNCED VOTE IN THE REGION.

It will also be noted that all the above National Board Members and Zone Governors will be inducted at the National Awards luncheon on Saturday, October 2, 2004.
