From
the Editor's Desk
This
really is my last word!
By Brenda McBain
It
has been a great privilege being the editor of the Progression, a
national newsletter for the Canadian Progress Club. When Bill
Sornberger and Al Gordon asked me to take on the challenge two short
years ago, I didn't think I was the best person for the job, but decided
to give it a "go". Plunging headlong into uncharted
territory for me, the "new" Progression On-Line appeared on
the CPC website. At this time I would like to thank Barb Clarke
for her "behind-the-scenes" guidance, her patience and for
getting the newsletter onto the website in its classy
presentation. Thank you to Bill, CJ, Al and Sharon for believing
in the product and assisting. Thank you to the regional reporters
who assisted by submitting the information and thanks to all members who
contributed.
I (among others) still miss the glossy paper edition
we received by snail mail that I could read leisurely at the kitchen
table with my morning coffee but alas, the computer technology is
definitely the way to go. Director of Communications, Sharon Ward,
has plans and new ideas for keeping the flow of information at the
fingertips of the membership. Her expertise in the publishing
industry will be of great value to our organization.
Yours for Progress,
Brenda
The
Progression is the official publication of the Canadian Progress Club
National. It is published expressly to inform, educate and involve
Progressians in the Association’s service activities, programs and
policies. Opinions [and content] expressed in articles are those of the
writer and not necessarily those of the Canadian Progress Club National
office or staff. The Canadian Progress Club is an all-Canadian Service
Club devoted to aiding and assisting those in need and servicing the
best interests of the community.
Material for publication in the Progression should be sent to the
