'Creativity & Culture' Journey Across Canada
CPC Regina Assiniboine's upcoming community involvement venture is "Creativity and Culture", an after school arts and crafts program for the children of the Core area of our city.

This program ran successfully last year, providing a fun learning experience for a total of 565 children.  However, due to lack of funding, the Core Community Association will not be able to run the program again in the fall.  With our club's mandate being to assist children, we are looking to resurrect this program with support from Progress clubs across Canada.

It is our intention to operate "Creativity and Culture" for nine weeks, starting October 7th. As a group, we will take the children on a journey across Canada, providing information on each of the provinces; as well as spending time on crafts and activities that reflect the province we are visiting that week.

We would ask that you consider donating supplies indicative and unique to your province. Supplies might include small provincial flags, trading cards from a sport team, postcard pictures depicting the historical sites of the province, etc.  We may have up to 40 children each week, however any number of supplies would be gladly accepted.

An activity on our "wish list" is to have the children exchange postcards with another children's group from somewhere within Canada.  If you know of any group, or your club is involved with a children's group that may be interested, please contact either Marci Brisbourne or Val Rankin at the e-mail addresses listed below.

Thank you for your time and considerationtogether we can make a difference!
