Dog Days of Summer
On Saturday, June 14, 2003 the gals of CPC Regina Assiniboine set out to make a little dough at a hot dog and bake sale.  Sale day arrived with sunny skies and a 28C temperaturea perfect Saskatchewan summer's day for selling hot dogs. 10 dozen hot dogs, 4 dozen smokies, 28 dozen homemade goodies, and lots of ice-cold pop all added up to a very successful sale. While raising money was the goal, laughter and fellowship proved to be added pleasures of the day.  Plans are to do it againhot dogs, anyone?

Soup and Story Time
Regina Assiniboine members recently began an on-going "Soup and Storytime" program at The MacKenzie Infant Care Centre, a daycare facility for teen parents attending the associated high school tutorial program.

Twice a month members volunteer a lunch hour to share stories, finger-plays and poems.  The small gift of the members' time goes to encourage the young moms to read and sing to their babes in the first steps to a lifetime of literacy and love.

A Memorable Anniversary
Members of CPC Regina Assiniboine gathered on the beautiful spring evening of March 25th to celebrate 15 years of accomplishments and fellowship in the name of Progress. Fine wine, food, friends and flowersgorgeous 'Progress Blue' roses from Regina Centremade for an evening to remember.  Here's to another 15 years of "Making a Difference in our Community."
