Ride for Progress

Raising Funds the Fun Way

Jeff Medley's "Ride for Progress" fund-raiser in support of CPCF is going full-steam aheader, make that "full-motor" ahead.

You may remember from the last issue of the Progression that Jeff is planning to ride his Ducati ST4 to the National Convention in Sherbrooke, Quebec, collecting pledges from friends, co-workers and other Canadians to support the 3800-kilometer ride from Calgary to Sherbrooke by way of pennies per kilometer.  The goal is 1000 pledges ($38 each at a penny per kilometer) which would raise $38,000 for the Canadian Progress Charitable Foundation.

Knowing that Progressians contribute so much towards the interests of Progress and the goals of their individual clubs, Jeff is not asking Progressians to make pledges, but does hope that anyone in Progress who is interested will support his efforts by helping to solicit pledges from other Canadians.  He also hopes to pick up Progressians along the way and invites other riders to join him for the trek.

If you would like more information about the "Ride for Progress", please visit the website at www.cpcbowriver.com/Ride_for_Progress.htm or contact Jeff Medley at jeff.medley@shaw.ca or (403) 770-7569.

Promotional pamphlets and pledge forms are available on the Ride for Progress site.
