The Pictou County Progress Club is busy planning a "Chair Affair-Chair-ity Event and Fashion Show" to be held on May 15th at Glasgow Square.  The idea behind this fundraiser is to sell an unfinished Adirondack Chair to a local business.  They decorate the chair and donate it back to Progress.  We will display them for 2 weeks prior to May 15 and sell them at a silent auction during the Fashion Show in May.  We are confident that this will be a successful event that will benefit the mentoring program for Big Sisters & Big Brothers and we hope to recruit some new members.

Progress entered two teams in the annual Curl for Cancer Event on February 21. It was a great time and the event raised $83,000 in one evening!

PCPC has also entered a team in a "Jeopardy " fundraiser to be held in March and proceeds will help a local charity. That's the news from Pictou County!
