Runaround
Halifax-Cornwallis has been spending the past few months getting ready for Runaround, the club's 5k run/walk through Point Pleasant Park in the city's South End.  Runaround has become a solid fundraiser for the club in the past few years.  The participants are treated to lots of great prizes and t-shirts, and are fed and "watered" for their fundraising efforts.  The club presents a cheque to each of two worthy causes at the event-a nice touch that lets participants experience the end result of their efforts for themselves.  This helps create loyalty to the event.

New Event
A new event for the club this year is a live televised auction on cable TV. Carolyn Bragg has been instrumental in pulling this event together.  We'll have a report on the auction next issue.

Fellowship
A number of club members also made it to the Greater Moncton Women's charter induction.
