Sleeping Children Around the World
During the past year the Canadian Progress Club Brampton supported the Sleeping Children Around the World by matching all member donations to purchase bed kits for children living in poverty.  Thanks to the generous support of all members, 68 bed kits were purchased and distributed throughout 24 different cities in Honduras and India.  Each of us was rewarded with a picture of a smiling, grateful youngster who had received our gift.  We intend to do the same thing at Christmas this year, and we challenge any and all other clubs to join with us in sharing the Christmas spirit and support a child who really does need a gift.  This is a truly remarkable organization that has no overhead, due to a foundation started by Margaret and Murray Dryden and all-volunteer help.  To date they have distributed over 650,000 bed kits around the world.
