A Touch of Spring Helps Fight Cancer and Cheer Seniors
Spring has sprung and Regina Wascana members were there to celebrate with 55 residents of the Parkside Extendicare Nursing Home.

Donna Peake, Club President, stated in her opening comments how wonderful it was to be there to help bring in spring, while the sun shone and beautiful big snowflakes floated down from heaven.  The snow did not dampen the spirits of the residents or the members of Regina Wascana as they helped the seniors cut and place 400 daffodils into vases.  The daffodils were purchased from the Canadian Cancer Society in support of the daffodil drive.

The flower arranging was followed by cake and tea and an opportunity to visit with each of the wonderful seniors who came out that day.  This is the third year the Club has held the tea and we are planning to expand on this project next year to other Extendicare complexes.
