Welcome New Members
A hearty welcome to Pat Gilmore (sponsored by Barry Kozmyk) and Troy Bowen (sponsored by Mike Warren), who recently joined the rank and file of the Bow River Boys.  Pat and Troy were formally inducted into the club in March, in separate ceremonies conducted by Alberta South Zone Governor Bruce Lyle and Western Region VP Bob Lockhart.

Feed the Hungry
Thank you to Ed Cooke, Bow River's Director of Community Service, who once again organized the annual Feed the Hungry campaign.  Volunteers from Progress clubs across Calgary spent Sunday, March 2nd, serving 512 hot meals to members of the city's less-fortunate community.

Royal Honours
"Exemplary citizens whose contributions have endured over the years" are the recipients of the Queen's Golden Jubilee 50th Anniversary medal and plaque. On March 11, Senator Nick Taylor proudly presented this esteemed award to Bow River charter member James Maxim. "'It's great to be Canadian' and this feels great to me!" James said, promising to wear the medal at all formal and Progress functions. Congratulations, James!
