Catching up with the Pacific Zone

Greater Vancouver and Vancouver Evergreen
Submitted by Janet Wedgewood

All is well on the "Wet Coast"!
The clubs continue to meet regularly on a semi-monthly basis.  In November, we had a Zone meeting, which was well attended by members of both clubs as well as many guests and representatives from three charities, who were the recipients of about $30,000.  One new member was inducted into Greater Vancouver that evening, and Al Wozny, a member from St. John's, was welcomed as a transfer to the club.

Vancouver Evergreen has successfully held a couple of new fund-raising events, including a live auction and an event called Shine and Dine.  Another auction is planned for March.

On a social level, Penny O'Rourke graciously hosted the Annual Zone Christmas party in December.

Upcoming Zone events include the Annual Mayne Island Murder Mystery weekend in April and the Annual Plywood Cup in June.
