Drew
Hook believes that joining Progress was the best thing he has ever
done in his life. He comes by his love of Progress honestly, as he
is the son of Keith Hook, a long-standing member of the Edmonton
Downtown Progress Club.
Since joining the Edmonton Downtown club, Drew's
talent and energy has brought new life to the club, and culminated in
his winning the prestigious Progressian of the Year Award at the 2002
National Convention in Canmore.
Here is why in verse:
He believes in fellowship and mentoring.
The fund-raising Cheechako Breakfast he played a great role in
re-inventing.
Attendance and participation in his and other clubs' functions was
outstanding.
In his community he showed great leadership;
Worked hard to increase his club's membership.
By ways and means he showed his care;
That is why he is our Progressian of the year.
We congratulate him and wish him the very best.
We are proud to say he is 'hooked' on Progress.
