Awards |
The setting was magnificent. The camaraderie excellent. The awards—surprising? I am not sure what everyone thought about the variance in the award recipients this year. I did, however, have a number of convention attendees remark that there seemed to be a good cross section of clubs receiving the awards. I really hope that Glenn Montgomery will receive a huge pile of submissions next year! If you weren't at the convention, you missed a good one. The men of the Bow River club were excellent hosts. My thanks go out to Terry Clarke, Tom Kohl, Tim Casey and Gary McGowan for all their help. Many thanks to Gerry Parcells of Unicom Graphics for the beautiful presentation folders and to Matt Bitze for helping run the Power Point presentation. Award submissions were received from: Brampton, Calgary Bow River, Calgary City Centre, Calgary Downtown, Calgary Eves, Durham Region Ladies, Halifax, Halifax Cornwallis, Regina Assiniboine, Regina Wascana, Saskatoon Meewasin, Sherwood Park and Toronto Trillium.
