Halifax-Cornwallis: Strength in Numbers37 members strong and growing! The club lost a few along the way, but seems to be able to attract solid replacements through the commitment of individual club members. Halifax-Cornwallis had a very action-packed November. Coming right on the heels of co-hosting the 2001 Convention with the Halifax club was our biggest fundraiser, Women of Excellence, on November 7th. Two days later, we were chartering a new club, Pictou County women. National President Al Gordon was able to attend both events and it was a delight and an honour to have him here. The following week, we held our second Strategic Planning Session to see how far we had come from the first one, and what still needed to be done. Finally, we had a bit of fun. The Halifax-Cornwallis ladies, the Halifax gents and spouses and guests of the members held a joint social to celebrate the hard work and success of October's 2001 Convention. What a busy month! In the new year, the club's goal is to reach and maintain our 50-member limit by the April Census. Stay tuned. -sw
