Flashback to Summer...

Saskatchewan Special Olympics Provincial 2001 Summer Games:

Saskatoon Special Olympics Zone 6 was the host community for this year’s provincial summer games, held June 8, 9,and 10th.  The Saskatoon Meewasin Progress Club members played a large role on the organizing committee for these games.  The club areas of involvement were Finance Director, Special Services Director and all sub-committees under these directors.  The sub-committees included Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Awards, VIP/Protocol, Entertainment/Hospitality, and Games Hostesses.  All club members were involved on the games weekend.  The event was a huge success in every detail and Saskatoon Meewasin members laughed, cried, celebrated and came home with a renewed sense of commitment and pride in our Special O athletes and friends.
