09 December 2002    re: Calgary North Helping Hands

CPC Calgary North presents "Helping Hands" -- a seasonal program benefiting both the Calgary Drop In-Centre and The Salvation Army.  Local radio station The Breeze 103.1 is offering its support by listing the Helping Hands event on its website.  The radio announcements are giving the event and Progress great coverage!

The toys for kids drive for the Salvation Army continues until December 20th.  At that time, the announcements will include the drive for the Calgary Drop-in Centre and run through until January 5th.  Drop-off bins are located at all ten Marks Work Wearhouse stores in Calgary, with three posters per bin, each prominently featuring the Canadian Progress Club logo.

Moose Jaw Thunder Creek

Moosejaw Charter.jpg (120873 bytes)

National President Tony Murray and the members of the Regina Wascana club, proudly welcome the charter members of the Canadian Progress Club - Moose Jaw Thunder Creek.

On Sat. April 29, the usually quiet and relaxing Temple Garden Spa in downtown Moose Jaw was rock'n when the Wascana ladies lead by Darlene and Janey chartered our newest club into Progress. This is an excellent example of the potential for new clubs all across Canada, as our club is recognized as an exciting and young service club to join. National President Tony from the St. John's club in Newfoundland was on hand to do the inductions. Clubs from across Canada sent their best wishes and club members from Regina Wascana, Regina Assiniboine, Regina Centre, Saskatoon Meewasin, Saskatoon Downtown, Calgary Eves, and Calgary Bow River were in attendance to help welcome an excellent group of guys into Progress. I'm sure Thunder Creek will be heard in the future.
